Looking back, when was it, when you saw the wind? Your first thought might be, well when ... And then it dawns on you, and you think I must have seen the wind! and then you strain somewhat to picture the wind.
We can feel the wind, sometimes it's gentle, sometimes it causes us to bend into the wind, it’s so strong. We love the wind, seeing it brings great memories to our mind and soul. On some occasions the thoughts aren't so great, because maybe it was a hurricane or a Tornado, nonetheless, we believe in the wind.
The Lord said He would not leave us, nor forsake us, and that promise is security! Deuteronomy 31:8 says "it is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
With that kind of a promise from God Almighty, why would we be so shallow, as to fear issues that come knocking on our door? It seems incredulous doesn't it? I mean those of us who have asked the Lord Jesus to come into our life and take charge, who has forgiven our sins, we are assured by this promise. We can hide it in our heart, stay close to it, remember it, pray over it and confess it, right?
Well tell me then, why is it we fail on this very thing, and we fail at the first charge of the enemy, we fold up, fear enters, and we begin to worry about the very issue that seems so large to us. We can't see over it, around it or under it. We become sometimes paralyzed and implode. This is far too familiar of a feeling that we know isn't it? And we hear of testimonies of fellow believers going through the same steps.
Let me provide some advise today, JESUS knows what we see, feel, and knows our heart(s). He walked this earth, he was tempted in all ways, see Hebrews 4:15 "we have a chief priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, yet he did not sin."
Knowing this we can have confidence 100% that He knows what we confront daily. The only way we can believe without seeing is to use the promises the word of God gives us. JESUS gave these to us to fight the flesh and the spiritual wickedness in high places that are trying to wear us out, blinding, us causing unbelief and doubt.
It is not you that is alone in this battle, but millions believing in the Lord Jesus. Let me encourage you this day, take these promises, the scriptures whereby the Lord has stated we have authority over all the enemy (Luke 10:19) and apply them to your daily fight, believe on what you can't see in the natural, for we wrestle not with flesh and blood but with spiritual wickedness in high places. See Ephesians 6:10-18.
Confess your sins before the Lord, see 1 John 1:9 for he is just and faithful to forgive you – stay in the fight, renounce fear, doubt, stand your ground!
1 John 5:14-15, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
Saints, arm yourselves with scriptures, practice by using them on the enemy, know He will not leave nor forsake you, be confident in that.
Till next time, Pastor John
