First, you have to know that the plan of salvation/ eternal salvation created by God was and has been done out of love, which brings us to the scripture so well known John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This is done by faith. God states He has given everyone a measure of faith.
The Bible is entirely made up of reconciliation between man and God. Whosoever shall believe in His Son, is the key, so we have JESUS as our Lord and savior who did in fact agree to reduce himself from heaven and become a seed to be birthed by the chosen woman Mary.
This was the love that the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit agreed that should be done to reconcile man's sins and give them eternal life. Jesus had to be Son of man and Son of God here on earth to go through the life as a man with a relationship with His father in Heaven. This entire plan was spoken of in the Old Testament through prophets, and JESUS fulfilled all the prophecies with His birth, death, and resurrection. Seen by more than 500 people after He was raised before He ascended to Heaven, also by his disciples, first hand knowledge. All these facts, miracles were written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles and also many Historians collaborated the same as being true. We have thousands of testimonies over the centuries of His existence.
I said all this to say, the Bible is infallible, perfect in all ways and God's word is true. Believing on the scriptures in your heart will produce a witness by the Hold Spirit that His love is in you and you will not be able to deny it, unless you absolutely turn away and go to sin again and trample His existence under your feet.
While this seems extreme, it is meant to be, consider how important it is to have eternal life, this costs you nothing but cost the suffering of Jesus to bring it to pass. Praise be to Him.
